Study Programmes

Faculty of Chemistry of Brno University of Technology realises acreditaded bachelor, subsequent master and doctoral study programme in the field of chemical and foodstuff branches focused on the education of the graduates for the research, production, application and sale of the products of chemical, pharmaceutical, foodstuff, consumer and civil industries and for public - administrative sphere as well.

Bachelor study programmes

The bachelor study programmes are according to standard study plan three-year. They provide students theoretical and practical fundamentals of mathematical, physical, chemical and biological disciplines and support their practical application in supervision and control of selected traditional chemical technologies, biotechnologies and during the work in chemical laboratories. The standard study plan in 1.- 3. semester is identical for all the bachelor programmes.

Subsequent master study programmes

The subsequent master study programmes are according to standard study plan two year long. They draw on the bachelor study programmes implemented at the FCH of BUT or dt other universities educating students in chemical and chemical - technological disciplines. They are focused on overall survey of individual chemical technologies as well as on theory of processes and devices of technologies in chemical industry, on acquisition of knowledge in theoretical and experimental biochemistry, microbiology and engineering of individual types of productions. Besides the subsequent master programme courses the study plans comprise also optional courses of bachelor study programme that are necessary for the successful graduation of courses included in study plans of individual specialized disciplines. Those courses are intended to complement relevant appropriate study programmes completed art the Faculty of Chemistryof BUT or at other universities educating students in chemical and chemical-technological disciplines.

Doctoral study programmes

Doctoral study programme is a 3-year programme focused on physical chemistry, macromolecular chemistry, material sciences and environmental chemistry. The doctoral study programmes are determined for graduates and are focused on the education of science and proffesional workers. The doctoral study programmes realised at the Faculty of Chemistry are focused on explore in special fields of materials, sciences, chemical and foodstuffs technologies and of relating basic science disciplines with direct connection on master study programmes realised at FCH of BUT. In the framework of all study programmes are selected required and required elective courses teached parallel in English. All study programmes are realised by full-time form and part-time form. Part - time programmes comprise both on (Friday lessons and course-unit instructions) and off-campus instructions and self - study (tutorials). The graduated at the doctoral study programmes are awarded the title pf Ph.D. presented behind the name.
